Tom C J Brown is a British film director, filmmaker and producer working across live action and animation. Rooted in opera, romanticism and melodramatic realism, his films explore the landscapes of the soul through stories of love, loss and longing.

Brown’s award-winning films have screened at more than 200 international film festivals, including Venice, Sundance, SXSW, Annecy and Clermont-Ferrand, earning a BIFA nomination and BAFTA longlisting. His films include the animated shorts t.o.m., teeth and Christopher at Sea, and the live-action film The Last Man.

After more than a decade in New York, Brown returned to England and the landscape of the Peak District, where he founded the production company Temple Carrington & Brown. He now directs and produces films, animation and commercial work from the UK.
